Still here...unfortunately blogging is at about the bottom of my list of things to do! Lots of exciting things and updates though. First up, I am doing 18 minute runs now! I cannot overstate how much I love the Couch Potato to 5k program. It has been such a gradual buildup that I haven't had really any pain and it's like every time I run is another small success. I can't wait till I accomplish a 30 minute run, and in theory, a 5k. I'll have to drive around my neighborhood and measure (would that be the word?) out what a 5k would be, so I can confirm that I am actually running the right length and not just focusing on the time.
Second up, it looks like we are going to close on the house next week! We have had challenge after challenge with buying this house, but I think the people who are challenging us have underestimated how much Nate and I really want this house! We got to do another walk through last week, which was so fun for me, because I hadn't actually been in the house since the day before we made the offer. Another reason we visited the house was because we had special guests...
Zack, Michelle, Charlie and Grady came to visit last weekend! They flew all the way from Boston to see us and we had an awesome time. This was our first time meeting the newest cousin, Grady. This is Sasha holding him for the first time and trying not to smile...
We spent the weekend just hanging out, cooking yummy food, and watching the older kids play. Charlie just followed Sasha around and did whatever she did. So cute. We hit up the mall play area and the bowling alley for some out of the house time. Here is Nate teaching Sasha how to get her fingers in the holes to bowl. Unfortunately her hands weren't big enough, so we had to go back to the funny contraption that rolls the balls for you.
We decided just as the kids were melting down that we needed a group shot of the big ones. You can see S and A were not pleased...
Other thank Lexi being a little under the weather, it was a great weekend. We are so blessed to have such a great family!
Congratulations on doing so great with the running and with getting ready to close on the house!
Such cute pictures from your visit -- looks like everyone had fun! Hope Lexi feels better soon.
