On Thursday night, Nate and I got to experience a parenting first - Sasha's first school conference! I have to admit that I definitely thought to myself that a conference for a three year old in preschool seemed a little silly, but I feel like I already am sort of the weird mom (I bring healthy carrot muffins and fresh raspberries for snack, for example), so I figured I would follow the crowd on this one and do it. (They were optional conferences). It was actually kind of fun and we did learn a few things we didn't know. The first thing they told us was that Sasha is a social butterfly and has a lot of friends...no surprise there. They said she likes to try new things and does well in the classroom. She has a good vocabulary. She likes structure and routine. The one thing she needs to work on...squealing. Apparently whenever they transition into a new activity, Sasha gets excited and does a high pitched squeal, which gets everyone else to do it too. Oh that cracks me up. But hey, if that is the only thing she needs to work on, we'll take it! We are so proud of our chatty social butterfly squealer!
Um...and where do you think Sasha picked up this squealing?
