Free Stuff Friday

I have a funny yet very sad Free Stuff Friday story to tell you.  It is basically me going against some of what I said in my previous couponing posts and breaking a couple of my cardinal coupon sins.  About a month or so ago, on the cover of one of the coupon inserts was a bunch of coupons for Taco Bell, including one for a FREE Limeaid drink.  I happened to have three of this coupon and boy was I excited to use them.  I was going to do a drive by visit to Taco Bell and get a free yummy drink any time I wanted in the next month!  Three times if I wanted!  I knew I had until September to use them and I was saving them for just the right moment.  Wednesday was the day.  I was picking the girls up from a friend's house who was watching them and learned there was a Taco Bell right by her house.  I began getting very excited about my free drink.  Suddenly, I also began getting a little hungry.  Then a lot hungry.  Then I found myself ordering a chicken burrito for me and a cheese quesadilla for Sasha.  Oops.  They got me.  The store outsmarted me.  But hey, they were on the 99 cent menu, so it's not like it broke the bank. 

Oh, the story gets worse.  The chicken burrito was delish.  I wanted more.  Cut to last night as I was driving to my work appointment.  I hadn't had dinner and it was a long drive.  I began looking for Taco Bell signs.  I am fantasizing about another chicken burrito.  When I finally spot a beloved Taco Bell, I am salivating and am very annoyed to see that the chicken burrito was $1.29!  But my course had been set...I had no choice but to purchase a chicken burrito and for good measure, a chalupa.  I didn't even use my coupon for a Limeaid because I wasn't in the mood for it.  (I got a water.)  Oh, the shame of having a store outsmart me TWICE and the stomach ache that comes from eating Taco Bell too fast in your car.

Alas, it happens to the best of us.  Anyway, here is a picture of something yummy that really was free this week, and a beautiful model...
