Woke up at 6:30am with a mission...homemade scones! Ever since Jenna posted these at Eat Drink Pretty, I have not been able to stop thinking about them. And who knew how easy it is to make scones? Very simple and delicious. I am adding homemade scones to my baking rotation, for sure, although my next ones will need to have chocolate.
Speaking of chocolate, Sasha and I needed a little project while Nate worked and Lexi slept. We are in Spring mode, so birds nests it was! While we waited for the nests to harden in the fridge, Sasha carried around the bag of jelly beans saying "Are they hatching yet? Is it time yet? Will they say 'tweet tweet?'" Although nothing actually hatched or tweeted, Sasha had a great time filling to nests up with jelly beans.
And the other big happening of the day was that Alexis crawled for the first time! There was quite the celebration in our living room and thankfully we were all home to see it and cheer her on. (I believe a video will be coming soon!) And then she took her first step a few hours later. I think there would have been more than one, but I didn't realize what was happening and I distracted her. Gotta love a late crawler and an early walker! :)
Your scones and your birdnests look so good! Yum!
Yay for Alexis - crawling AND walking in the same day!
Happy Easter to you and your family, Heidi!
