As you have probably gathered by now, we are are kind of a unique family. We like to be different and like to do our own thing, even though at times people think we are slight weirdos. Anyway, I don't often think about how we stand out when we are out and about, mainly because I am way too busy trying to safely and happily contain my two girlies. But I have to laugh at our new lunchtime tradition. I really hate doing grocery shopping with Sasha and Alexis by myself because it is quite a challenge trying to get all my deals while handling the kiddos. So, usually on Mondays, I take Sasha and Alexis to the Meijer by Nate's work and start shopping. Nate meets us there on his lunch break and after we finish shopping, we eat lunch in the little eating area. There are always a few employees or other people eating there too and we definitely get a lot of looks. I guess seeing a multiracial family, with one child in a helmet and the other skipping around, with the parents clutching handfuls of coupons, doing multiple transactions at the register and paying practically nothing for their groceries, then heading over to the food court and breaking out a picnic of turkey sandwiches, chips, and the free dip they got might be a little strange. But we like it!
Here is the latest picture of Alexis. We were taking tons of pictures because her birth family gave her this outfit and we need a good picture to send them!
This made me laugh out loud. :-)
That picture is soooooooooo adorable!
